28*F and overcast this morning. 70*F inside. Gonna try to get my rim joists all sealed up today before the winds come whipping through tomorrow. Sounds like its gonna be a nice weekend to work inside.
This is a truly awesome statement! Congratulations on the little guy's good health. It's amazing how resilient babies can be if you give them a fighting chance.
Its goin to be a city at some point, im gonna add another 4-5 this year. Its between roads people sort of see them but wont trespass for a foto i reckon. But if so and it ends in the newspaper im glad i could assist leoht in getting a step closer to world domination.
25 feels like 14. It has started snowing in the past 1/2 hour and is coming down pretty good right now. The snow has been increased once again. 12-24" is what they think now. This evening the winds should increase to 30mph and gusts to 60mph overnight and through tomorrow. We'll see.
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah...... I do know itll run furnace, refrig, well pump, a lot of lights n (receptacles...depending)
It’s all good Freddy, everyone lives in their little slice of heaven, mine is just in the freezer. Looks like another nice day in store, more birch after work. Spruce keeping the house warm. The minutes are really starting to add up, sun is just starting to have a little warmth.
……...and...……… This one is for Backwoods Savage -you just know with these winds, Big Mac will be closed down! Mackinac Bridge Authority, St. Ignace Michigan
The weather moved out last night and left us with clear skies this morning. 3.7 °F was the overnight low but it's already up to 11°F . Juniper in the stove and the house is warm.
Somehow that picture just does not seem right for this time of year. However, I'd like to see that here very soon!
39 with a cold east wind Snow is crunchy and roof isn't dripping so I'm scratching my head why not at 39. The boy and I got started early and filled the wood room. I wanted to wait another week but temps look like they are going to dip to more seasonal for around here the next 7 days .Got the furnace cranking to even out the cool down from the 1.5 cord of frozen wood brought in. There's only a little over a facecord in the shed left. Depending on how long winter holds on its questionable if it will get all used before we move. What's in the wood room should get us to mid April . I have been here 30 years. Was 19 when I moved in . The thought of moving is kind of surreal .
Yeah, that's almost a given with the forecast of high winds. I would not be crossing even in a 40 mph wind as the roadway is bound to be a bit slippery. Ice and wind is not a good combination.
Yup. I remember one night sleeping in the McDonald's parking lot waiting for the wind to die down. They clocked it at 85 mph so no way was I crossing then! EDIT: You couldn't hardly get in there to get a big mac because of so many people. Owners had to love it. We knew there was one girl working in there that lived below the bridge. Bet she did not get home that night.
No sunshine today. They have even dropped what they expect for the high. Was 44 but now high 30's. If the storm doesn't expand, it appears we may be between the 2 storms so we shouldn't get too much rain from this. I hope not as that would really make our roads sloppy. Yesterday I took the tractor up and down our driveway hoping to break up some ice and it worked fair. Will do that again today. It really broke up the crap in the roads so that is good.
