Took to the woods today during a break from the monsoon we been having to cut some more cedar. Pretty good sized tree and full of knots. Should be fun splitting Hopefully this will be enough to supplement my greener wood until spring
Is that your work? Nice looking and will last a long time with no care. Its a tree i dont pay that much attention too and will have to look closer.
A rustic outdoor bar for my nephews wedding. Ended up selling it to the owners of the wedding facility. Didn’t have to load it up and bring it back home Saw some cedars in a graveyard in New London couple weeks ago. Looked like Sequoias LOL. Almost stopped the procession to get a closer look. Not common here in Ct but every once in awhile you’ll find a monster.
ill have to keep an eye out. Last summer there was some cut down and left next to the road not far from me here in North Haven. Decent sized maybe 12" at base. I stopped and cut it into 4' pcs and loaded it on my PU. It was so fresh i got cedar sap on my shirt and gloves. Smelled great of course. Didnt wash out! Im debating on what to make out of them as they sit in my processing area. it'd be ashamed to burn them.
