Carbon is about 50% lighter and 25% stronger than magnesium. I doubt the weight difference is huge because there's not a ton of mag on the newer saws, but the EFI would be sweet.

A carbon bar would be even sweeter, but seems like it would make the saw tail heavy.

    It looks sweet though.

That defiantly pretty cool! Saws are already built very light so I'm not sure how much they really saved with the few CF parts I see.. It would be interesting to hear the specs on it.

People would buy it just for the looks and wow factor though.

If it runs as good as it looks sign me up. I'd even part with some of my "untouchable" saws for one of those. Is this a prototype, available in EU, or coming to a corner dealer near us?

Don't get me wrong . . . I love me some Stihl and I think anything that can possibly be made of carbon fiber should be. BUT a primer bulb :hair:

I thought that was a primer as well? But with EFI? I don't know if that's what it was? The off switch looked funny as heck to?

    I think it's bigger than a 362? No?

I know somewhere else they said it was 3 lbs lighter than a 395? That would put it near 661 territory. If it was to be compared against the 395.

But don't get me wrong. If it was a 362... And it was available? The 036 and 55 Rancher would be for sale (55 may be for sale very shortly anyways). Because I would be buying one.

Good point? As soon as one pops up on my local Craigslist I'll snag it up and answer everyone's questions about it.

I agree. The case & shape look a lot like a 441 or 461 foundation to me.
