We got about 2", and a glaze on top. Come on Mr. Sun! A little ice on the branches but nothing serious. 26°, burning some skinny oak branches from a windstorm in the fall of 2017, I split them back then, and they're dry enough now.

Ended up getting some more snow over night. I don't know what the radio said, but I think I made it into double digits of new snow.

But I did hear the radio say their is now 35" on the ground. Fun, huh? :D

    19 right now.

Not a bad morning @-7* spruce keeping the house warm. Steadily making some daylight. Back to work for a 8 day stretch. Goal of a pickup load of wood each day after work. AD35C9E9-51F7-46AE-A7A0-7BB54620C4CD.png 2A9C7435-2B74-49BD-8E70-C114030AB04C.png

It's good to set a goal, and feels great when you achieve it!

Oh sure, just completely forget about Dave and I.....and some others up here.
We ended up with about an inch or so out of the 3-8 that was forecast. Calling for another storm on Saturday.......should be interesting.
Temps are slowly starting to come up. We had a low of 31 last night and a high today of the same.

Yesterday I said we got some sun but it was short lived. It peeked out twice but only for a couple minutes each time. But the storm?

Rope said the weather guessers hit a home run up there but they surely did not here. Most of the time NOAA actually does a decent job but they surely can screw up about ever other week and when they do, they go all out.

Forecast was for a storm of snow and freezing rain and then some rain with a high of 34. It was still morning when I said I did not think we'd get much of anything. I looked at the NOAA page I think around 2:00 and they had not changed their forecast of the storm but did change the forecasted high temperature to 30. At that time it was 36. Right... Looking at the radar there was nothing coming toward us. However, around 5:00 we got a brief 3 or 4 minute skiff of snow and sleet but it amounted to almost nothing. So much for guessing the weather.

Happy today though as the sun is shinning bright. It is a bit windy though but supposed to be better tomorrow before another "storm."

It's been a beautiful day here with temperature just barely above freezing (33) but sunny.

Here are some updated totals for snowfall in upper MI. Check out Keweenaw County totals! Still have to go through March too so no doubt will be above 300".

Yep, that's how I got 'em. Little work with a 4lb sledge, drove a couple bolts into the holes that same engineer kindly provided, and pounded a square head bit in after hogging the Philips slots out.

Didn't think of anti seize, but definitely going to use some when I replace the screws this weekend! Thanks!

We hit 20f today with sun. I had to go up on the roof after work because our range vent was leaking water into the house from some of the melting snow. I took some time up there shoveling off a bunch of snow around all the venting and roof edges.

I also took the opportunity to check our fireplace chimney...all good there, looked real clean.
