Wind is my enemy as it makes it difficult to maintain a decent inside temperature even though I'm well insulated. Still making the 3 ups per night. My tarps were whipping and a fiberglass panel came off the empty back of my wood shed as the howling never let up. Waves were 10 feet breaking on shore. Several neighbors lost trees and I will have plenty to css when temps get above freezing. Birds are chirping though. I always wanted to be a sketch artist...Glad you approve.
Roaming Shores got hit pretty good. I will be going down tomorrow to take a peak at a couple trees that are on the ground. The ice mounds at Walnut Beach were impressive Monday. I had to go to the bank and forgot the lobby didn't open til 9 so I had some time to kill. Glad to hear you faired well.
I'm in the central part of the county. Thanks for the offer but RS is closer than the lakeshore for me. Went to take a look yesterday. Looks like most tree damage was cleaned up. There are trees down on vacant lots but not much in the way of easy stuff. When I say easy, I'm comparing it to my place or my dad's place. There is an owner who is looking to clear a lot for a home. That one has potential. Some decent oak and cherry, no structures to worry about and, his words, "doesn't mind having a tractor leaving ruts". Although, I'd want that in writing before I started.
Ruts mean nothing if they're breaking ground for a new home. Tell me the street and I'll see if permits are pulled and the time frame....more business for us!
