I use checks to pay my water and sewer bill. They aren't open when I'm not at work, so can't pay cash. Could pay via website but I have to pay $2-3 for the privilege (for each payment).

You'll know when and if the check gets there usually 1 check per month gets sent from here.

x2 imacman , sitting at 18*/6* windchil and 67% rh outside, sooooo tired of 8 month freezing winters. People "think" colorado is cold, pffffffffffttttt, Colorado is a walk in the frigging park compared to this miserable ice box.

And interestingly we actually go through atleast a book of checks a year here still.

Yess...the crawlers like to use the 205 as a doubler box..

A chain is an easy do on the 203

Just be sure the sprockets are not excessively worn.

Usually all that's needed is a chain.

I have had a few rigs with the 203 box and I loved that system.

Then they demonized the FULL TIME 4 X 4 as being no good, wasteful ...BLA BLA BLA

Now almost every SUV has an all wheel drive system. SAME STUFF...just a fancier name is all.

Nothing more than an interaxle diffy ...
Rigs handle far better with all four working...

    FUN STUFF

Private well and septic system here. No checks go out for water or sewer bills.

The comment had nothing to do with "your" share..
But more that, some people do not pay any income tax..
In which case, they do not think they paid "more" than their fair share...

Had that at my old address. Don't miss having the well pump go out in middle of winter (well head was under 3' of snow interspersed with ice that I had to hack down). Nor do I miss every couple of years getting the septic pumped out. Nor the backbreaking labor of digging up the leach field because a pipe got crushed somehow (and then we decided to just replace all the pipes as a precaution). Not that I really like living "in town", just I have enough to do that those are things I do not miss as a single person.

Checked oil in snow blower and topped it off. We're supposed to get a couple of storms this week. Not a huge accumulation expected, but 3-4" - enough for blowing. Hopefully the temps stay cold and we don't get freezing rain afterwards on Monday. Because of things that IT did to it, my work laptop no longer can get thru on my Wi-Fi so I can't work from home in early hours, then snow blow, then go in to work.

Went and got groceries and as I headed back in the driveway noticed that there seemed to be meltage below the ice so chopped off as much of it as I could. Got most of it so I'm counting it as a win.

Took coffee grounds/egg shells etc. out to the compost pile. Yeah, that base of snow/ice is staying until it melts off. I barely sunk into the stuff - and most of that was the 1" or so we got Friday afternoon.

We did our taxes. State and federal almost cancel each other out. After the cost of the tax software, we’re $74 ahead.

We did some calculations years ago and max out retirement contributions, and I we pay extra each pay check for federal taxes. Don’t want any owing surprises.

That is the way it is. I use carts. I pull the bags off the pile and onto the cart. bring it inside up next to the stove, dump one bag in and have another couple of the cart for next time. My son and grandson live here (upstairs) they will help if I need it. My carts have big wheels so they pull along good. I just have to have a cane or something so I won't tip over. If the driveway is clear, I can take my walker out and put a bag on the seat and pull it back . That is the safest for me
