Surely could use a heat wave here to get rid of the ice. Need to get rid of both ice and snow so I can cut wood again. Looks like that won't happen for the next week.

23 here, low of 13 for this evening. Ran out of wood near the house and properly sized.. Got some work to do tomorrow sorting through old owb stacks and cutting down oversized splits. Just about time to make a wood sled, too - wheelbarrow isn't going to make it through the crusted snow.

30 and sunny should be a great day for it!

    Burning apple and pine tonight.

Your not alone. I did that Thur. afternoon for a couple hours with a chop saw on my front porch. Never. I repeat never. Let a buddy with a OWB help cut your wood:hair:Grrrr!

The most unique mix I have heard of yet! Cool.

Guilty sometimes. Who cares when you've got a 5' deep box right? I measure most of my cuts so I get uniform stacks, but I've been known to go "long" when cutting with friends. 1

5F here clear & no wind. Little snow tomorrow they say. Oak & Maple in the boiler.

Anyone out there have holzfforma G070 105cc thinking about getting one for bundle chopping going need 48 inch bar or bigger might put handle on the other end for spotter any input ???? I think it be the perfect setup . Only need to make 2 cuts per bundle and bundles run about 4 ft square 8 ft long .

19° now, supposed to hang in the 20's this morning, and 30's this afternoon. The sun will shine! Good weather for cutting and hauling "my" oak! I'll try and get as much as I can today, because it'll snow a little tomorrow. I'm putting a dent in my basement oak and maple, probably half a cord left down there. Once that's gone I can start pulling from the shed.

Feels like 5, 76 inside on a fresh reload of oak and beech. 1-3” of snow tomorrow morning. So much for the warmup! Single digit mornings through Thursday at least. I hope that weather guesser is right this time Midwinter! Above average March sounds wonderful but I’ll believe it when I see it.
