Not too day of a day, was nice and sunny and brought a beautiful sunset to cap off the day. Cut a load of spruce and birch have some spruce keeping the house toasty. The birch is already cracking from being exposed to the dry cold. Cut less than 4 hours.
Think the weather/cold snap is going to start breaking tomorrow. Not back to normal, but at least not as bad as it's been.
24 feels like 20, 76 on coals. Supposed to be sunny and mid 30’s today. I need to get outside for awhile!
32° Outside, 72° inside.....plenty of coals and blower still cranking. Some Ash in the hole....Have a great weekend hoarders!! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

26 out 76 in, burned hickory overnight and reloaded with aspen this morning. I'm almost out of seasoned sugar and walnut so I'll do aspen during the day and hickory at night and hopefully burn all the aspen before the end of the season.
This is the time of year where solar gain form the sun is felt more readily. Even with wind chills below zero, on a sunny day you can see where objects gaining heat from the sun have caused immediate snow to melt. Noticeable right away on the brown deck railing. The snow is piled almost 2' higher that the railing right now.
34*-70*.....found some cherry..so im incinerating that. Gotta get the generator out n run it for its quarterly run time. Have an eletrician friend comin friday to finally get my panel box n generator receptacle wired up....yyyyaaaaayyy
23* out 68* in when I woke up. Currently 29* out and 72* in. Calling for a high of 37* today. The sun is shining right now, should get some nice solar gain today.
Good morning hoarders! Its a pleasant -12c/10f right now. I just loaded doug fir on the coals from last nights burn. Its snowing lightly and a bit gusty. Looks like a nice day to be out fishing!
Before the cat went to kitty heaven, he was all about the solar gains realized on the back of the couch by the big window. On a sunny day he would track west to east as the sun rolled across.
