23 feels like 13, 76 still on coals. We ended up with 9-10” yesterday with a little sleet at the end. I used the snowblower then had to use the bucket a few hours later to clean up the second round of a couple inches. Hopefully it’s the last snow we’ll see for awhile. Forecast is mostly for the 20’s and 30’s for the next week so things are warming up! Happy Valentines Day hoarders!
21 Fell asleep without a reload last nite. 62 inside. Shorts, uglies, and punks with a squirt of used cooking oil to get things raging quick ! Beautiful sunrise this morning.
Slept in this morning till almost 7 . About 30* outside and 68* inside. Still a decent bed of oak coals from LN to get her going again. Load of ash & pine uglies before off to work. My wife has been reloading the stove with a ton of pine 2x10 scraps I have in the garage just about every day for the past few weeks. Said she's got it down to a science now...........that's my valentine!
Sure hope nothing serious with the back. Chances are good that it will just be some stiffness but keep an eye on it. Glad the accident was no worse than it was.
32 here now and hoping we'll see 40 today. Sun is trying to peek out. Days are really getting longer now too and that is always nice.
Forgot to wish you a happy belated birthday, and here's hoping your wife is fine. While snow can be surprisingly gentle ( all things considered) for slowing a vehicle in a hurry in a straight line, those muscles all over the back that just aren't used much are easy to tweak. Especially with a sudden sideways movement.
I don't want to walk under it again! My husband will no doubt knock it down when he gets home, but I want to see how long it gets first.
Yes it is metal, and no snowbirds. There is an eave over the front door, so no risk there. But over the back deck, where these pics were taken, and in front of the garage, there is a straight shot.
Ya know Midwinter ….whe you posted that first pic this morning, I was going to ask you to keep taking pics throughout the day so we could see thr progress of the overhang. But I felt a bit guilty so I just couldn't ask that of you. But then you'd probably just find some damm "possum on the roof" pic anyway...….
11f here now with -7 windchill. We had a clipper system move through with .5" of snow and strong NW winds. Got the hearth a blazing with white birch and some black ash. Going below zero the next few nights.
