That's my problem a lot of the time. buried deep in the woods, usually requiring a lot of manual carry out. Take what you can.
A lot of relatively small stuff down from the winter - 10 to 12 inch and smaller diameter. Nothing bigger, except down the cliff toward the lake, steeply down 75 feet or more: no fun carrying that up. So many ticks in the woods.....so much rain.... Big sugar maple, several beech, and hemlock down by the lake, and a good size ironwood hung up at the top of the cliff, leaning way out over the cliff. Have to decide whether to just harvest all the small stuff, or take down some of the less healthy large (32 inch diameter or so) sugar maples near the house and near the portion of the hydro line that is my responsibility. Tempting to remove them, as they are either an eventual threat to the home (of course increasing threat each year) or are shading my vegetable garden to the point that it is now almost exclusively a wild flower garden....
If I Had an ATV I could get that stuff out that way The Lady did mention something about a small tractor or lawn mower and there is a dump cart out there I could use , I think I might call and talk to her about doing it that way, Park my trailer up in the driveway. Depends whether or not the tractor can pull the loaded dump cart out of the gully
Yeah I'm trying to figure out a way to get in there and get what I can out now because she said there are a couple other guys that are going to come back the week after next when the ground is drier
