My Latest Haul

    I know Im a little different hoarder than most here but heres my latest haul. Coworker seen a pile of wood at the dump and asked permission to get some. We went after work and got our share. There is a mower and saw and some 5 gallon buckets underneath but still a nice load for not much effort. 4-30-14 024.jpg

    I get broken pallets and often there are a bunch of big pieces like this in the pile. Hey, what ever burns is good for me. Just watch how much heat these will produce as they might burn fast. You should get some nice tight stacks with this.;)

    wood is wood, I like the fat pieces from pallets, bone dry and burn hot.

    Yes free. That doesnt happen too often though. Im usually in the wrong place at the right time for stuff like that.:(

    Nothin wrong with cuttin up skids for the stove. Im currently burning some 3x5 oak stringers. They make some good heat but watch em cause they get hot fast :hair:

    That's all good wood and most times skids are Oak around here. Sometimes it's pine, but even pine is fine :thumbs: Nice haul!
