Nice to see you Chief. Have you been spending time in the shed with the stove? I really like your set up out there.

Yes sir 460. If I didn’t have my son Doug to help me right now, I would be in trouble. This 70 year old broken body just won’t do what it used to. :BrianK:

Every day. It’s my hang out. Burn a lot of wood out there but enjoy the wood heat.

Buddy is truly my Buddy. He hangs pretty close to me all day no matter what I’m doing. We took a walk a while back when the wind chill was 45 below and Mimi was not happy about it. Said the weather channel said keep your pets in. I told her we’d be fine. She said Buddy will freeze his paws. After we got back from about a 2 mile walk I couldn’t get him to go in the house. He loves the cold and snow.

What do sled dogs do? Yes, many on the long trails will use booties but that is just because of special trail conditions. Look all over Alaska and you'll find many dogs outside enjoying it. So, instead of taking the dog for a walk, let the dog take you for a walk.

Yes sir, that’s usually the way it goes with Buddy. He lives for his walk each day and does NOT care what the weather is. He would make a good sled dog I think. His Beagle genes make him strong and he loves to pull. Loves the cold and snow. Kinda like his Dad

I love every day with my son in the woods. At 70, I don’t know how many more days I’ve got but I’m sure as heck going to enjoy the ones I have

Yes thank you, my son is 5 Kameron (Kamo) and my dog Tito love to play together in the snow. Tito can practically plow the driveway with kis favorite stick ( a 4 foot 4x4 ) It is a challenge keeping the both of them out of the brook though. Good times and so nice to share them here.

Good stuff here, chief and wood ho! My 17 year old daughter is about over it, but we had lots of fun together when she was younger. Next up is only two, so the best she can do is push around the wood tote on its dolly. And when I load the tote from outside, she organizes the splits and says "thank you, wood!" Every time I put a piece in. Freaking riot. She also likes to sit by my chair and nod approvingly when I'm reloading. "Make fires, Daddy."
