Dear all its four months since my last scrounge , iv knocked a right hold in my stash since then ,
Not having the room you lot do iv been limited but taken what I could when I could.
When some one says do you want this Spare timber I were there . From less than a inch to three by two I took it . Cut sorted and ready to burn , even skinny bits will do for kindling.
Need to find a couple of decent trees I can scrounge.
Meanwhile iv replaced some doors in the house so iv cut the old ones up and sparked fire pit up and cracked a beer 366FBF2B-8ABD-46D0-BAFA-976635243827.jpeg FD11BD6F-61B8-40C3-BD12-A91CFEA30897.jpeg F932305D-09F1-43FF-809B-6D3DC1FD4542.jpeg 2A739672-6421-470F-BF4E-6E2D445C321C.jpeg 802AF621-AD9B-4590-906C-CC8734349E0C.jpeg 2F508022-A3F1-4B32-B577-AC898B271F9C.jpeg 32761F80-6E29-4174-B18E-FC51DB296C14.jpeg

Grahamt I have enjoyed your posts over the years. Random question about one of your older posts, you made a hedgehog house, did one ever move into it? Those are cool critters I wish we had over here.

The wood of last resort around here are pallets, and old cedar fencing. I hope you find a good scrounge!

So the french can lay hand on it? heck nooo! :D

Or you ask on the next farm if they could need someone cutting brush for them and you like to keep some of the usable stuff as payment.
In the start its a pain in the back, as soon theres a certain trust you'll get the chance to score some better wood.

Guessing its coal? What do you end up with for burn time? Is it cost efficient? Curious as I have looked into coal stove a bit over the years.

Man made stuff , it’s burnt hours longer than wood but not as hot , in our small uk house that wouldn’t be a problem .
Off in shed tomorrow to see how many shovels full I get and what a bag weighs .

Care to share the make/model of fuel your using? Not sure Ive heard of the stuff? Interesting. Zero idea what your measure of currency means:) Looks like it burns nice.

    £1 is about $1.31.
