Our Drolet Blackcomb has a smaller firebox than some of the other stoves, but we get 8-9 hrs on a full load. Loaded this @ 10:30 PM, went to work. The pieces are 11" long and stove is 20" wide. This is the bed of coals next morning @ 7:30 AM, still cooking.
On average I get 10 to 12 hours , 32° and above 15-16 hours , single digits , I Can squeak out 8 hours , Below zero I have to start turning heaters on In the other end of the house
I got 1 of those Eden Pure heaters many moons ago. I have been running it in the basement to keep it warm. Hard to get the heat to go down the stairs. My water pipes are down there. I have just got on the 3 year plan so still a little afraid of loading the Enerzone to the max. Hopefully next year I can compete with you guy in this thread.
My basement gets cold Was 43 last week , 46 right now , it's 12°F outside. I hear you about the water pipes that's why I have to run heaters in the other end of the house , I have in Eden pure I inherited , Only used it once this year , I don't know how or why exactly but the Eden pure Uses more power than the Oil filled Heater , the Oil filled Heater does a nice job , Better than The Eden pure . The more wood you stuff in the stove The more heat you can build in there to burn wood that is not so perfect And you can throw 2 or 3 bricks in with the other wood. You can burn not so perfect wood better also if you have good coals and if you load up when your stove is about 200 degrees or better, as long as you can control it, stuff it full. This is a nice heater , works great, It's what I use in the other end of the house
