    Got blasted with freezing rain yesterday and with a high of 35*F then a refreeze for a slick chauffeuring ride this morning. Calling for more of the same Thursday :picard:

    We've had enough mornings of icy/snowy roads that I haven't gotten to drive the new car much. Monday afternoon I put gas in at about 900 miles and I've gotten to drive it to work the last two days. Today, I've got over 1,100 miles.

    Before the fill up on Monday, I was getting 31-33 mpg. Drivig the same roads, I'm now to around 37 mpg - obviously it's finally getting broken in. Gotta love that I've put on 215 miles since putting in gas and it estimates another 224 before empty - all on 12-13 gallon tank.

    One of the cool things about the car is as long as the battery is fully charged, it will turn off the engine while I'm stopped at a light (or at a stop on the highway like last night :faint:). The second I take my foot off the brake it starts right up and is ready to go.

    Took it to the car wash this evening and washed off all the salt and road grime from the wet roads from the thaw this week. Then when I got home I took the truck in for a wash from the heavy salt on it. Now it's raining and will turn to a mix, or possibly pure snow, so the truck is up for duty tomorrow.

    Have not removed the exhaust sensor,since I rebuilt this stove,and decided to keep it.I see no sense in "polishing" an exhaust sensor.My big vac has a long tapered adapter,when I shove it in,it does not hit the sensor.I clean the channel,back to the 90,with a smaller brush(dryer brush?),but,have gently forced my 4" flue brush in there,it has soft tines.
