They have sold a lot of grarage type kits here from places like TSC. Problems arise when a good wind storm comes along. Results are canves ripped to shreds and frame sitting around and for sale on Craigs list. There is a reason there that cheap to buy. Mabe add more and better tie down points and rais the price a little. Al
I have a Shelter Logic "shed" and one thing I can tell you is never, never, ever leave the door open on a windy day. I did this once, and the anchors pulled out of the ground and it blew away. Luckily not far and it rolled with almost no damage so I was able to roll it back like a giant ball, reset the anchors and was back in business. In the setup manual they recommend larger anchors than what it comes with for some areas. Yeah, no kidding. Mine mostly has the Summer lawn furniture, a rototiller and plant pots in it.
When I read this I read, " mostly has the summer lawn furniture, a rototiller and pot plants in it". !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want to "season" the wood in the shed, ie: stack fresh cut/wet wood till its dry, I'd go with the greenhouse version.
I have one of their round top shelters. They more than double the usual cheap ones. Mine is 12’ wide x 24’ long x 10’ high. It has withstood very high winds and snow. The round top sheds the snow very well. I anchored mine with 3’ long rebar and ratchet straps. 4 per side. Should get about 5 years out of the cover. The frame is very solid when installed correctly for my area. I am hoping to have a more permanent home for the tractor by the time my 5 years is up. If not I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another cover for it. Pretty cheap inside storage. Unless you can get it setup out of the wind and will take the time to remove the snow I would spend the extra money and get a decent round top.
We are building one of those this spring...not for pot plants though. It is legal for us to have 4 plants though if we ever decide to take up the habit
