Spoke with a nurse yesterday about persistent back issues. One of the questions was something like..."does the inability of being able to perform daily tasks because of your back concern you?" I told her I heat with wood and that it is a huge concern.

I must have set her off because I don't know if she even recorded the answer.

Oh you guys and your firewood.....we heat with wood also and my husband gets real anal with the firewood. I enjoy helping him make it but he insists that everything (here is where it gets real good) has to be seasoned three years before it goes into the stove! He will even rotate the wood piles and be sure to gather from only the ones that are three years old! You guys are crazy!

I told her your husband is the reason why you don't have any creosote or chimney fires and he is absolutely right for letting the wood dry that length of time further more, the new wood stoves will refuse to burn wood that isn't dry.

It was at this point that her eyes kind of glazed over and I could see on her face "oh no......another one!

Anyway, I thought it was a story worth repeating.

The mirrors and their brackets just add to the total ugliness of this truck. Who designs these? You would think they’d have a group look at the mock-up to give their approval. And all this can be yours for $52k.

    Another sleepless night

No additional humidifier, coupon did expire and I'm not ready to shell out $50.

I've used the Ricola for years now and think there are not as harmful as the others. Not as strong but seem to work well. Sadly they quit making my favorite ones; orange mint. Not sure why they quit but they did. If I could find some I'd buy a case or two.

I wondered where Judy went... When she got home she was telling me about another guy who heats with wood...

Got a bunch of sleet overnight. I do see the eaves dripping a bit. More ice possible and then rain. In the 40's tomorrow and I have to take wife to the big city so hope it is not slippery.

No pictures but I did get out to do come cutting yesterday. A beautiful day for woods work it was. Because most of the snow had melted, when the sun came out for just a short while it really reminded me of spring. Felt great!

Spent the afternoon having a conversation with the Turbo Tax program. About 99% done and am pleasantly surprised.
About $1100 return from the state and owing the Feds $50. A lot better than I thought it would be.
I wasn't directed through the renewable energy credit. May be it has been eliminated. I bought the new stove this year and will have to research if it is still available..

I put something important in a good safe spot. Anyone have a clue where that was? Retraced my steps several times with no luck.
