It’s been several months since I’ve been around. Extremely busy with work and firewood sales and processing. How’s everyone been?

Anyway, I’m looking for a carbide tipped chain for the processor. I know next to nothing about carbide chain. Basically I need a 67 driver .404 .063 carbide tipped chain. Who has one or can get me one?

A basic search on hoogle says that Stihl carbide tipped chains carry the “Duro” moniker.

    Learnt me something new today.

Definitely need a different kinda file to sharpen them tho? Guessing so...

yes you need a diamond file to sharpen them
the chain itself lasts good in dirt and ice conditions from what i found i have a couple of the carbide chains in 325
i ran the one in frozen wood that had 2 inches of ice and mud on the logs and got about 8 truckloads before it was dull

Check with your local Fire Department. They run carbide on their saws. Somebody knows where it comes from locally I'd bet.
