Today I had some time so I worked on logs that I cut on a local blueberry/cranberry farm 5 minutes from home. I had one 17 yo helper and my 7 yo son who is firewood obsessed. In 3.5 hours we got done about 2.5 cords. Very few pieces didn’t require the log lift on my tw6. The split pile free of snow is new today. My boy had enough by the end. Going to finish up these rounds tomorrow.

    You really do get a lot of bang for the buck outta those big suckers. Little more work on the front end, but a lotta splits out of a round. Nice work jrider !

    Does the added wedges cause "drag" on the splitter? I have considered adding a horizontal bar on my wedge but didn't know what it did as far as increasing the pressure to the splitter.
