It is so nice to go outside and not feel the ice in your face! Hoping we don't get any ice tonight but there is a possibility.

Went out this morning and raked the north and south roofs (rooves? ) before we headed to Lewiston. We have some rain/drizzle in the forecast, so I thought it might be the prudent thing to do.
Still need to do the west side, but that'll wait for tomorrow. I mean really, where's it gonna' go?:D

Wind is kicking up and looking like it might snow - the guessers did say we might get some snow tonight - up north.

:dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer:Doing the Happy Dance. It finally got above freezing today, 33*, for the first time in a week. 48* tomorrow and 52* Monday. That should melt the white stuff.
Boy did this single digit and minus chit put a dent in my wood pile. Need to bring some more wood up to the house.
I got a late start today, but did manage to buck up a couple of logs. First on the agenda tomorrow is spending some intimate time with the chain file. I was getting good chips, but the saw was working a little hard. May have been the Black Locus I was into. Looking forward to getting some wood work done over the next 3 or 4 days.

You just may well be correct. I skinned the thorns off the top side of the log and then rolled it. There were ice crystals on the bottom side.
It will be to wet with the snow melt to get to the Ash I need to cut so I will probably cut another Black Locus and see what else I can feed the saw on the high ground.

I was outside raking the roof like papadave . We're to get drizzle tonight. It might be freezing drizzle even .

Then I trudged though the snow and started up the splitter. Aside from a couple of smaller 1 splitter branch pieces that need to be cut shorter ( somebody stacked the splits on them ) and 1 bigger trunk piece that I wasn't going to carry 20 feet to the splitter, everything else is split from the ash I took down this fall.

It was beautiful 40° and no sun or wind.

I let my dad use my game camera to get some pics of a coyote that has been passing within feet of his house. Two sets of fresh tracks were seen this week. It is becoming frequent in residential areas around here.

We saw this large one just about a half mile away heading up the field. This area is populated with deer and turkey. When we rounded the corner on the road it was at the base of the hill and was stoping and looking back.

We are closing on a house hopefully in a few weeks just a few hundred feet before this field, so we will have some interesting viewing opportunities. We will have wetlands on one side and fields on the other.

Good luck with the closing, hope it goes smoothly. It looks like an area with lots of outdoor fun potential.

She finally got tired of you eating all the pods, and switched to liquid instead?
