What's up today (bullchiting) thread.

Wife and I went to bed around 9, now up at 3:45. My problem is that I can't stay asleep if I wake up after at least 6 hours of sleep, sometimes after 5.

My spearing buddy got his designated ice chainsaw (farmertec 660) set up last night and is planning on bringing it out spearing this morning. So I will try and get a picture or two of that to put up later.

 

I woke up somewhere around 4:15 this morning. Not sure wtf happened, but I went to bed fine, but woke up with a semi swollen and pretty painful knee.

 

Hopefully some strong coffee will help to get things moving and starting to feel better, and maybe some advil. I noticed around age 40 that odd things with the body come up now and again, then return to baseline, but it may take longer then when we were younger.

 

Coffee, 800mg of ibuprofen, and some ice have made it much more manageable.

 

Yeah, there's that today.....Happy Groundhogs Day hoarders!

I'm doin' Yoop, the weather this time of year is keeping my ambition in check allowing some relief from 3 very angry discs. Decided that I need to use a feed bag about 1/3 the size as I have been. Taking it low and slow hoping to be straitened up by spring. Appreciate the inquiry.

 

Been gone since Monday, get home last night to find out a boy my daughter grew up with had shot himself this week because his girlfriend broke up with him. This kid graduated HS last year, Class Salutorian, freshman at U Maine double major in engineering, won all sorts of robotics competitions over the last few years, active in the community. Really had the world by the ballz. I know a few of his family and they are good people. Daughter is pretty upset and won't talk about it, his girlfriend is a senior in HS with her. Sad week around here. Just gotta wonder what people are thinking.

 

No thinking, all emotions. Your daughter must be feeling some trauma. Sad lesson to learn about impulsive actions.

We're finally past that mega cold weather. It's over 30° already this am. Headed to mid 40's.

That's a 70 degree temperature gain in a couple of days. I'm not even factoring in the wind chill.

We switched back to Fromm dog food for our pups as it is made less than 5 miles from our house, and our Badger Dutch ovened me bad on the couch. They're all good now, but anyone that has dogs knows how any change affects them.

 

Too sad. Hope your daughter manages this well.

This is very sad.

However, this didn't happen because a girl broke up with him. It happened because he was messed up in many ways and didn't know how to deal with it. No, I don't know him or the story - all I know is it is NOT HER FAULT nor is it by her actions, which is how the way it is presented makes it sound. Not how you meant it, I'm pretty sure, but when she hears it put that way that is what she will be thinking for a long time.

Oh yeah, had a guy threaten to kill himself if I broke up with him. We hadn't seen each other but a couple of times and hadn't gotten past the kissing stage. I put a stop to that BS real quick and told him that it would be all on HIM and I would bear no responsibility.

Sorry, this is a push-button for me. How many times do the authorities go searching for a reason that so-and-so committed an atrocity? It doesn't matter what the "trigger" was, it matters that the person had no way to deal with it in a healthy manner.
