    I hear that often. It really doesn’t matter if big split or small with cat stoves? I have Blaze King Ashford 25 insert which is a cat stove . First year burning. I was thinking to split next year’s wood to bigger than 4 inch. Around 6 to 8 inches in diameter.

    I do think it is good to use at least one large piece of wood for nights even in a cat stove.

    Less than a minute to get the next batch of elm chunks started.
