-6 here, but supposed to get up to +12 with some sun today. Then one more subzero night and spring shows her face over the weekend. Sugar maple for the morning load, girls will be toasty getting ready for school and work.
4 feels like -16, 76 inside with some pine on the coals. Looking forward to the upcoming warmup into the 40’s possibly early next week.
3° now, going up to the 20's. All the sunshine sure was pretty outside yesterday, but I didn't go out, just fed the stove. I did pretty well, the baseboard radiators were cool all day. Night time the boiler starts. I'm putting a dent in my oak pile, it sure is fun to run the stove between 500-600° and not get cooked out of the house. Made some progress with my mother's taxes, but a lot of 1099s haven't come in the mail yet. The accountant is antsy, but nothing I can do about it. Today I'll go out, I still have a couple scrounged maple logs in my car. Now that everything outside is good and frozen, maybe I'll take some experimental whacks at some honey locust and elm rounds.
7 this morning with a fresh 4” snow. The warm up starts today. 57 by Monday they claim. Ash and hard maple burning. Going to cut at my favorite neighbors today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-12 but feels a lot colder for some reason. According to radio station, YTD snow is 104" May see the 30's on Sunday.
Light snow last night, school on 2 hour delay so grandsons get to sleep in but lab pups were restless at the usual time at 6am. 18 outside and 75 inside loaded sugar in the house and shop. Pups played and are back to sleep.
1F here, no wind. Got a lot of clean up to do before it turns to slop. Boilet on last night's load yet.
Up around here that's about all we have. I used to relocate them outside the fenced portion of the yard so our poochie wouldn't get after them. I believe in the far south of the province they have rattlesnakes and maybe something else.
Not quite as cold overnight but still well below zero. Now we start the warm-up but not above freezing until tomorrow. I'm betting the guys who make maple syrup will be getting antsy about now.
There's the large (7 feet) Bull Snake in the south, as well as rattlers. Researchers learning everything they can about bull snakes in Sask. | CBC News I've seen one of the very small Green Snakes, about the size of a lead pencil with big eyes. It survived a trip through the combine in one piece.
Started the day a -9* and currently at 10*. Full sunshine and no wind. Might get a few degrees warmer before the day is over.
Everyone did not pay their A/C bill, unfortunately Alaska has to repo the weather. We are all about being fair.
What a coincidence, same here what a nice day here! See you should move here, already used to the weather.
Here’s what we’re up to with the temps. Kids wanted to play clue. Hot chocolate, chocolate pretzels and popcorn.
