Difficulties mastered are opportunities won. Winston Churchill.

Man is so made that when anything fires his soul, impossibilities vanish.

New things aren’t necessarily needed any more than old is not automatically obsolete.

Originality does not consist in saying what no one has ever said before, but in saying exactly what you think yourself.

God provides food for the birds, but they still have to build the nests.

Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

I know this is a little different from what I usually post on this thread, but I came across this picture and wanted to share how GOD uses simple things to teach us sometimes.
As you see, most of us as wood cutters, would have judged it to be worthless because of it's outward appearance. I had driven by this tree numerous times while it was still standing and had thought it wasn't any good. But a big storm tore it down. IMG_20170322_101525521.jpg
Sometimes, life's storms tear us down. And GOD can use that to reveal our inner beauty, HIS STRENGTH in our weakness. IMG_20170322_102548023.jpg
So you see, I judged wrong. We can do that with folks too. We might not be the prettiest nor most handsome on the outside, but we do have good hearts. As with this tree, do a little digging, find out what's underneath the worn looks, ragged clothes, broken spirit.

The only time we should look down on someone, is when we are offering a hand to get up.

You will never look at another person that JESUS didn't die for too.

We have to pray for those we don't like or understand. Pray for our country.

May you each have a blessed and wonderful day.

Lots of people love their cordless phones; we just happen to enjoy phoneless cords.

Proof read very carefully to see if you any words out.

What first appears to be a sloppy or meaningless use of words may well be a completely correct use of words to express sloppy or meaningless thinking.

Blessed are those who have nothing to say and who cannot be persuaded to say it.

I once knew a parsley farmer that was sued; they garnished his wages.

It is always easier to suggest solutions when you know nothing about the problem.

    Verse of the Day
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

The most important things in life are not things.

In this fast-paced, modern world, it takes only a fraction of the time it used to for a luxury to become a necessity.

When you find yourself convinced that the world is moving too fast, just find a book or supermarket line to reassure yourself.

When you consider the contribution of plumbing to human life, all other sciences fade into insignificance.

In Japanese, tofu translates roughly into whale snot!

    You can lead a horse to water but can’t make him drink;
You can lead a person to knowledge but can’t make him think.

About the time you think you can make both ends meet, some fool moves the ends.

Man is the only animal that can remain on friendly terms with the victims he intends to eat until he eats them.

Be careful approaching a goat from the front, a horse from the rear and a fool from any direction.

To some people, the outdoors is just something they have to pass through going from their car to a store.

If you’re not scared, you’re too stupid to work here. Lee Iacocca

Never let the fear of striking out get in your way. Babe Ruth

A man should be greater than the sum of his parts.

A meeting is a place where people get together to talk about what they should be doing.

Why is it that by throwing a match or cigarette butt out the window, you can start a forest fire, but it takes two Sunday papers and half a box of matches to start the logs in a fireplace?

Government is kind of like the pig who ate his fill of acorns and then started to root around the tree. A crow then remarked, “You shouldn’t do that. If you lay bare the roots, the tree will wither and die.” “Let it die,” said the pig. “Who cares, so long as there are plenty of acorns?”

People who live in glass houses should have built something more practical.
