SWEET rig Mike!! Perfect color. I think ya did the right thing in not messing with frame replacement. I used to have a friend who is a service writer for a Toyota dealership. I’ve heard some good stories on that affair. Now it’s time for a big fat block M decal. And you can start pinching pennies for that mill.
I've spent nearly the last 2 months trying to find a decent Reg Cab, 4WD, 8' box, 1/2 ton truck, new or used. They are becoming rare as hen's teeth these days. That the major reason that I was seriously considering replacing the frame on the old Chevy. My local Ford dealer literally could not find a single one within 200 miles. I think I only saw one of these at any of the local dealers I visited (Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Toyota) and that one was used and in pretty rough shape. Even so, it sold before I could make an offer on it.
Good looking ride, Mike! Since I’m not a brand loyal truck owner (don’t tell Ford loving Fire Flake), I’d easily own a Dodge, or a Ford, or another Chevy, or a Toyota... Hope it serves you well, Sir
Yes, good idea. I sure like the way the Rams have looked over the last 20 something years. I just don't like the way that corrosion likes them. That's a sharp looking truck.
Now that is a great idea! Once I get the "rainy day fund" replenished, I will have to start on a "bandsaw mill fund." Between your chainsaw mill and if we could get a bandsaw mill, we'd have a proper business plan. I like the sound of "Wolverine Custom Sawmilling." Some how we need to get some more buzz words like: Reclaimed lumber, artisanal, gluten-free, vegan, etc. to attract the big money customers.
dont forget green, sustainable, solar, hybrid, low fat, low cal, sale, 2 for, bogo, clearance, Dollar menu, lactose free, freemium...
Sloth friendly, sustainable, biodegradable, and you have to have a sticker on the gas door that says " Teddy bear pee" and it emits unicorn farts from its exhaust pipes.
What about “Participation trophy”...? Not sure how to contextualize that phrase in this discussion...
He could make the participation trophy from reclaimed barn wood and recycled plastic bags. Oooooooh. I forgot about the cardboard drinking straws.
Wait, wut was this thread about again? Don't ferget sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows in the safe room.
Maybe tomorrow. FWIW, it's a pretty basic model ("Express") with a few electronic accessories but nothing fancy. It will be quite a change from our old Chevy with vinyl floors, roll up windows and manual locks, etc. Honestly, the RAM's definitely have the best ergonomics of all the newer trucks I looked at - K.I.S.S. for sure.
