Home sick today. I have had 3 colds this season and the last three days I could not stop coughing. Interrupting sleep, chest pain and difficulty breathing. Went to urgent care Wednesday evening after work and they closed early due to snow. Yesterday I felt terrible and had difficulty snow blowing the driveway, couldn't catch my breath. End result is made it to the doc yesterday evening and chest x ray revealed no pneumonia but bronchitis. Breathing treatment, z pack antibiotics, inhaler. Doc wants me to take off till Monday. We will have to see about that. Alot of work at shop. But off today and feeling a bit better. Gonna watch the fire in the e2 and enjoy the warmth.

Spent 15 minutes shoveling the light sn* that fell last night while the truck warmed up. Keep moving and it actually wasn't all that bad, even at -9 deg wearing jeans, gloves and a hood from a warm jacket.

I must be part polar bear   but I definitely would not want to be out for too much longer than what I was if I didnt need to be.

I learned today on "How It's Made", that in the manufacture of Frozen Pizza, after all the ingredients are on, the pizza is blast-chilled at -25F for (5) minutes - to lock in the ingredients. :shiver: I felt like the Sausage & Pepperoni (w/ extra cheese) this morning. :santa:

Would you like to start the vehicles here tomorrow A.M.? .. I gots valuable Pellet & Beer prizes waiting. :D

Got home and the living room was 80* and the office where the stove's thermostat is at was at 77. Didn't get nearly the wind we were expecting apparently and the sun helped too. I had the stove set at 72 and it was still that hot. I shut off the stove and set it back over to Room temp.

Did the dump run then went out and finished up the snow blowing. In the 1.5 hours the office has gone down to 75*. Way too hot in here (but better than not being warm enough).

When in town to pick up diesel fuel and some links to make the chain tighteners, and a new drain pan(as I have a plow pump to repair),I picked up a few of the "pet" balls at the farm store. They resemble tennis balls,1and 1/2" to 4" in diameter.got the small and medium ones.Threw them at the cat.He attacked, and, his claws got stuck in the fuzz!He fought them 4 times, had to lay there and shake them off his paws!I call that cheep entertainment. He is walking around them, glaring at them, lol.Oh,for you that do laundry,I have been using the large ones in my dryer,to soften towels, for over a year, works good.

thanks badbob, I think mine is about 5 or 6 years old. I bought it new. Nephew did my install. He isn't charging much at all for the replacement so he can have the one he takes out. Doesn't look like a lot to change it over, just that I am physically limited. At my age, I have stopped collecting parts etc. I am so fortunate.
I saw him go at it with a claw hammer, then with a reciprocating saw. He sprayed it first, but as you said, had a heck of a time. I have now clue what he was hitting on, but after he did the quick cut, it came right out. It is running well now, quiet like new, but he didn't stick around for the burn. huge air leak. House filled up with smoke. fun. I have it shut down for now and will attempt to retape the joints.
