    Got an "Emergency Alert" on the phone about 1/2 hr ago. Says that Consumers Energy is asking everyone to turn down their stat to 65 through Friday.
    Hmmm, don't have Consumers here. I'll just start another fire instead. :dex:

    We had something similar last Friday the power company wanted everyone to turn their thermostats up on their AC. it seems we have similar problems at opposite extremes.

    We got three of those today for a snow squall warning. Every time the phone went off they kept moving the time ahead. When it hit we wound up with less than an inch. They had everybody freaking out.

    I got that too, first time I've ever seen an alert for a squall.

    We got down to 3F overnight. Coldest I've ever seen was -21F in northern Maine once, with absolutely no wind. I cant imagine adding good wind to that!

    -2° at the moment. The stove got cold during the night and the oil burner kicked on at 5am. Got wood in the stove for a restart and it should get the furnace to kick off soon.

    I started my last fire yesterday at 6:30 ish... was in bed by 7:30 ish... and woke up at 3 am freezing at 64F....:shiver:.... with a Outside temperature of 4 F.... :confused:.... I guess I didn’t have enough BTU’s in the ol’ chamber to get it done last night....

    Yep, sleepin' in ye old FT is bound to make ya' chilly.:whistle::D
    So, I set the stat at 66-67 or so and let it run before I get up when it's this cold. Been doing that for the past 3-4 years, and I sleep much gooder. Last couple mornings seemed a bit cool though at that setting.
