With the wind we’re sitting at -11 at 8 am but that’s nothing compared to what’s going on in Minneapolis today at -50. Hang in there folks, we’re praying for you. Stay warm! Stay inside!

7 degrees outside. 74 inside. Boiler is still working on last night's load of hedge.

Cold night of the year coming up tonight...supposed to be -10 with a wind chill of -30. High of -1 tomorrow. It's not very often we see that around here.

I know about Q-mart, and the pretzel place. We were married in Bethlehem. Lived in that area for about 6-7 years.

I have the radio playing. Just announced 8" predicted today and wind chills from -45 to -60 tonight/tomorrow! Woo hoo!

That's what I'm talking about! Its been a long time since I've had to fire the OWB three times a day.

Was in Cathedral church of the Nativity, in the Fountain Hill area overlooking the LeHigh River. She said she wants to go to Rice’s now.

image.jpg image.jpg My little stove can't walk itself out of this weather without help. More wood, more heating oil.

Hey Bear, that reminds me of some other meat I saw cooking at a GTG last summer.

Been slowly warming up all afternoon. Have made it to 34ºF outside right now. Warm up overnite, rain about 1/9 to 1/10 inch, then cool off again.
    Red oak in the stove.

We got to 23°, that was it. No wind though. Word is we get 3" of snow overnight, minimal rain. Burning red oak and red maple.
I cut some more locust chunks to stove size, and stacked them in the woodshed. This way they won't freeze to the ground, and I'll have something to split if I feel like it.
