The threat of frostbite even includes those indoors at those chills. The lowest I remember was about -50 over 20 years ago. Too...........................cold. Still don't get how Rope and others in more northern climes handle that cold.....w/o the windchill. Brrr
21*-69*.........burnin down the coals i needed this mornin....gonna add some oak n ash little later. Half the driveway is like an ice rink...need to actually get some anti-skid..ice melt n sand not working so good. Went down yesterday n today...i think i need one those life alerts so i can say "help..i have fallen n i cant get up"
We're at 6 OAT headed down to -6 overnight. IAT is 68. I'm gonna' let the furnace take over for the night.
Mainly my pride..lol. shoulder a little sore yesterday....today i fell on my @$$..jard my teeth a little. I might use some ash on the lower part of drive....
Crazy weather! Heavy snow to -20's to + 50's heavy rain, ice and back to snow. Oh Yea! I live in the great Northeast good to see the sun today temps in the 30's getting 24 hr. burn times again loading OWB with mostly Maple.
21 here, low of 9 tonight. Red Maple keeping the 70's Alive inside. Single digits are Chilly, but nothing like you guys in the -50 club. We'll see double digit negatives a few times each winter usually, often with brutal wind, rarely for more than a week at a time. It's kinda fun to "conquer" the weather successfully for a while, but I don't know if I'd want to make a habit out of it!
Just peeked at the thermometer and fired up the OWB (with help) and the temp outside is -20. It'll get a little colder than that yet. Don't know what the wind chill is.
+6F with a little below 0 windchill. Loaded the boiler with a little extra Oak & Ash. 75 inside the house & 70 in shop. Light lake effect snow falling, but no real accumulation expected. Going fence row cutting again tomorrow. Hope the wind stay decent. 16 & no wind ain't bad weather.
