Stove Chows have been our Home Depots Go to pellets for over 5 yrs...[we have 3 within 15 miles plus 2 Lowes.....].. just stopped in today and saw Green Supremes premiums.. see thru bag with "Blue ridge" blend or something like that on the bag.. any lovers or haters here with those? just read a whole bunch of recent reviews that had the word "garbage" in them ...
T , I think Steve slvrblkk burned the Blue Ridge blend and liked them . I burned the NE blend and they did a fine job for this weekend in the sub zero temps . I would say they were equal to Fire side ultras . I've roasted up 20 between the 2 stoves , No Issues for me . I'd buy them again .
I have the Appalachian hardwood ones and they a very nice for a green supreme. That’s the specs for it now that lignetics owns them.
Not only that I got them for $219 a ton. They actually seem to burn a little better in my stove then barefoot.
these deffinitly say blue ridge blend on them... knowing HD they get in whatever is most profitable for them as opposed to "hey. let's try to get a better grade than stove chows for our customers"..lol might just grab 3-4 bags for the heck of it just to see... I do see the word Lignetics associated alot with GS's...
Funny part was I had a hard time getting the green supremes. I called a head of time and asked how many ton the had. They told me 4 so I drove like 30-40 min up there. Got up there and went up the the service desk (the only lane open) and told the girl I wanted a ton of green supreme. She didn’t know the sku so she called up a guy and he asked what I wanted. I told him and he’s like we’re not supposed to sell those by the ton. Told him I called ahead and he was kinda duck about it. He said they were only supposed to sell those by the bag inside and they sold stove chow by the ton. So he finally sold them to me and he was amazed I wanted the green supreme and not the stove chow.
okay.......sooooooo, which are the better of the 7 flavors of GS.... [Excluding the doug firs. nah... that aint a fair question... everyones stove would have to be identical and so forth........
Some Home Depot’s even lowered the price. I know the one in East Greenbush, NY I paid $219 a ton for the Appalachian hard woods. The guys said they lowered the price on the green supremes and the stove chows. $4.58 a bag or $219 a ton for either.
NAW...we get raped over here... 259.00 ton for the GS's. same price for the former stove chows here. Lowes carried them but looks like they are out in Bensalem area..
I noticed FSU at our local HD this morning... I know a lot of places that is their brand, but not usually here.. Dan
I popped in to get a few bags of Stove Chow and asked about the GS...NO, I am NOT paying $8 something a bag! I said are you POSITIVE you got that price right and she said yes so I got a few Stove Chow and left!
That's what I said...INSANE! I've gone back to TSC...don't know what I've got this time but horribly ashy Can't find the UPC to tell what they are. Edited to add - just found it - no wonder they suck...it's Curran Hardwood.
