You folks in the Mid West are getting some crazy weather.
Icing, Freezing rain, snow mix, then
Snow, blizzards, "Polar vortex" sub zero temps,
Now; rain, freezing rain , snow/rain mix & possible flooding.

My 2o°s & teen temperatures with some snow seems boring.
Hope for an early spring, your winter is being outrageous .

Got a lot of rain last night. Good news, no flooding that I've heard of. I think the snowpack absorbed almost all the rain, which could be good or bad depending how you look at it.

My yard looks like a disaster. All the branches, twigs, and pine cones that came down during the ice storm, along with countless dog turds that were under the snow that melted are now in plain sight. Hoping we get an inch or two of snow to cover it all back up. :)

A lot like michigan with the power outages and then flooding. It's a mess.

Lots of rain with icy roads this AM. Luckily weather is warming. But we had some water in the basement. Had to put on the drain extenders and bust up an ice dam that was keeping water up against the foundation. All good now.

Goofy azz weather! Near freezing records last week to near record highs this week? Good thing this is rain, We'd be barried if it was snow!

We have bad storms headed our way this afternoon, Had a few this morning with nickel size hail. The ones comin are supposed to be bad, it's humid and the air is ripe for Tornadic activity. It's forming in Oklahoma right now. Arkansas is under a high risk for them and we are the epicenter of where it's supposed to hit the hardest. be glad when this day is over.

We had pea size hail yesterday morning for about 10 minutes, got another line getting ready to go through here in a bit. Tried to get some stuff done outside this morning before the storms come through this afternoon. Already had some wind pick up and rain drops, rain looks like its about 20 minutes out.

Cold & 1/2" rain on Wed/Thurs,warm & sunny Fri/Sat.Now cool today with a quick thunderstorm moving through about 4 hours earlier.Another blast coming in later in afternoon,a few watches out & could see 2"-3" ,up to 5 " in several spots by tomorrow morning.Do need the rain though, even with record cold winter & above normal snowfall, still in moderate drought mode here from last summer/fall.

Thanks, we were just put under a Tornado watch, so it's getting ready to get going. It's been quite in central Arkansas since this morning. but got a feeling it's about to get noisy.

About 45 minutes ago lightning struck a tree diagonal from us, dropped a big branch right in the street. My brother is slated to take the tree down sometime this year, so we sectioned the branch up and got it into his yard.

Do you have a cellar area or bunker you can get to, if you have to? My son visited my brother when they were in Iowa during a rash of tornadoes. One got way too close… bout scared the bejeesus out of them… Hopin' they stay right away from you.
