Whoa! What size will that house be? I'm betting it will be huge or even bigger. I'd like to see a picture of it when they are done.

The drawings are ridiculous and so are the people!

Brought more wood to porch. We've burned a bit more than normal the past few days. Supposed to warm up today and tomorrow then turn cold again. Some snow and ice on the way tonight followed by a bit of rain tomorrow then turn cold. 3-5" snow and ice expected. This might be my first time for clearing snow this year as if there is ice on top of the snow, it won't be good. Then rain on top of that. Nasty. I hope they are wrong again on their forecast.

It is warmer out there; 23 at the moment. However, the wind is cold. After putting wood on the porch I changed gloves because my fingers were cold. Then I walked to the barn but came back after only a couple minutes and my fingers were starting to get cold again. That changed my mind about cutting more wood right away. Maybe in another hour or two it will be better.

I didn't know you were bidding my new "cabin" in the woods. Small world. Any chance you can make it so I can land my G6 on the roof?

2.5 hours later all cleaned up from blizzard. Yup it was here we got 2 feet :D.. Now to sand drive before rain tomorrow and back to negative.. Yup should freeze pretty good:jaw:

On the positive side it will put a crust on the powder and prevent wind drifts..

On my drive in to work last night I had to swerve to avoid hitting an echidna that was crossing the highway in 100F heat. His was moving quicker than I had ever seen an echidna move. His little paws must have been burning on the hot bitumen. He had 3 lanes of traffic to cross.

On my way home this morning I kept an eye out where he was crossing and could not see any carcass so I think the spiky little critter made it.

Snow keeps going around us. Just about 1" overnight. Now they are saying maybe another light accumulation over the weekend after lows in teens below zero by the end of this week. Close to the old homestead the lows without windchill are projected to be -35f end of week and into the weekend. They had lows at a few of the local weather stations as registered with the National Weather Servise of -38f this past Saturday and Sunday mornings. There was one informal report of -45f in the area. That is cold, but not unprecedented for NE MN this time of year. The ice depth on the lakes down here in the metro areas, with little snow and the cold we have will be pushing well over 20" now.

Yea me to they are cool little critters. Although they can destroy a car or truck tyre/tyres if you run over them!

I've been reading about your heat wave, and how hard it's been on the animals. I hope the rains come soon!
