I brought my phone out while I was on the tractor yesterday but it never got out of my pocket. I took my hand out of my mitten to unplug the tractor and start it and that was enough for me. 45 minutes later when I got back inside I couldn’t move my fingers on that hand and they were all white. Reynauds disease isn’t fun. So sorry, no pictures.
I have some very happy neighbors though.

I always use the Power Service white jug and keep a jug of the diesel 911 at the ready!
Even with the block heater I need to use the glow plugs on my old tractor.
Brought my phone out yesterday forgot to take pic's!

I think we'll let it slide this time. Keeping your fingers is more important than pics

Chaz and I both have Reynauds so we sympathize with you. His go white and numb where mine turn purple. I bought him a pair of heated gloves s couple of years ago.

Picked up a 16 oz. jug of Power Service anti-gel additive today.

Jug say it's good for up to 40 gallons.

What ratio do you guys mix at?

I only have one 5 gal jug that I've been filling. 2 oz of the stuff seems very little for 5 gallons.

Didn't see any of the diesel 911, will look into getting some to have on hand as well.

That ratio is good to about -20 with winter fuel, colder than that go about 1/3 again more.

Precisely one sploosh per gallon. Equates to exactly 1562ms pour into my 2.5 gal container.

You measure like I cook, a "bit" of this, a "pinch" of that.

Not sure if I'm correctly calibrated for a 1562 millisecond pour time though.

    Will have to practice.

If my math is correct (we'll see) I figure 2.5 oz per 5 gallons.

Nope.. 2 oz per 5 Gal.

    You divided 40 by 16.

    16÷40=.4 per gallon
    .4 ×5=2 oz per 5 gal

    Another method..

16 oz good for 40 Gallons.
    I have 5 Gal
    40÷5=8
    16 oz in jug..
    16÷8=2 oz

That was the way I was doing it but when I divided 40 x 5 I messed up and got 6. Opps. Lol. Still hate math.

Auto parts stores or online have heating pads, some have adhesive pads the others use rvt to adhere. Many of you now have some cold temps and see why here in Alaska we use synthetic. I run AMS oil in the motor and Chevron aircraft hydrolic oil (-100* and still pourable). When I can’t have my tractor in the heated garage, I tarp and construction heater, to warm up. I use an old 3.2 oz. two cycle oil bottle to measure mine so 3.2 oz. per 5 gal. works well for me.
Only time I have had any problems was when I ran out of fuel What a PITA had to pull fuel filter and bleed the pump.

As far as the mix, I'm not sure it matter's if you mix it too strong. I put a gallon of the (white PS) into a 275 gal. tank that only had about 50 gal. in it expecting to have the oil truck in a day or 2. That turned into 2 weeks and needed to fill the tractor & skid steer before the delivery. Noticed no issue in the performance, sound, smoke or anything. Iirc it's like antifreze and they give you a "range" for the mix/protection, the stronger the mix the more protection. I'm sure that's only up to a point though.

We have several of the little measuring cups for stuff like cough syrup.

Three shots of 20 ml works for me.

Got the mixed fuel in and ran it for a bit over an hour pushing back snowbanks and moving some with the FEL.

No pics as it was dark when I finished.
    :hair:

Happy that I got the chance to get the mix through the system.

I will have to look into this mix, I am a bit curious but I've never needed it. I've never frozen fuel line or any running problems. I do plug in my tractor when it's below zero for 3 hours before I start it. As of 2015 when MasterMech stated here that most of the damage on diesel motor occurred on start up.

I think my diesel fuel comes from Canada though I wonder if that makes a difference

Well, with NY tax, it came to $8.09 for enough to treat 40 gallons.

    Small enough price to pay.
