It’s a pleasant -7c/19f outside right now. I just did an overnight load of larch. Here’s A pic with and without the flash just before I closed the door.

Mine is about 30 years old. More than once it has found the paper at the end of the driveway instead of in the box and thrown it across the yard. At least it spits it out. I break shear pins on big chunks of ice from the plow.

8ºF here, headed for 4ºF by forecast. The wind is howling pretty good. Dunno what the wind chill is but I didn't like being out there getting a couple of armloads of red oak splits for the rest of the night and tmrw morning.

Coldest of the year so far here. -10 with wind chill of -35. It's 68 in the stove room, but the far bathroom has some frost on the wall. Pipes are still flowing though so we're good. :)

Waking the IS back up with some thin splits of pine and oak for a quick shot of heat, and to knock back the coals some.

6 feels like -10 and that’s the high for the day, headed for wind chill of -20 to -30 with dropping temperatures. Still 75 inside on coals so far. We got 9-10” of at least half sleet and I cleaned up most of it around sunset. 4 driveways in 45 minutes, pretty easy with a 64” blower. Just had to dress like an Eskimo. I think the rest can wait until tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday morning when it’ll be more bearable outside. Gotta rake the roof off and that’s not fun in high winds especially. Stay warm out there!

5F Ironwood and Beech. Gonna throw on some Apple before I go throw snow, for the smell of coarse. Must say feeling rather Hoity-toity laughing and asking wonder what all the poor hoarders are burning. Maybe I will go with hickory instead but then I have to decide shell or shag bark. Cherry also has a lovely fragrance simple but yet elegant. Perhaps a firewood bouquet.

    Well, this is a surprise.

-20f this morning. Very clear and I couldn't tell if there was a breeze or not but its definitely not windy. On mornings like this, it'll normally get a little colder and then start to warm up.

I thought it was 4.7F when I got up. Looking harder I see the negative sign to the left. And windy.
In the garage we’ve got maple, cherry, oak and ash. I’m cherry picking for oak that was harvested dead already.
