Thanks for all the well wishes wildwest , Gasifier and Backwoods Savage By lunch time yesterday, I was feeling great. Headache gone, cold symptoms gone. We sat and watched hockey and I worked on a puzzle. Felt so good I didn't want to go to bed.

This morning, headache back and tummy upset in the middle of the night. campinspecter would say I spent to much time hunched over the puzzle and did in my shoulders. I think my headaches come from getting my neck and shoulders cramped up. Good news is that by lunch it should be gone.

I read through the Snowpacolypse thread. Dare I mention that we have above freezing temps, clear skies and a bit of a sailing wind out on the water. Looks like it is going to be a nice day.

we sure didn't get much snow, less than we were said to have received, but it is cold out there. 3 degrees at 10 am with a real feel of -9. They say it will get to double digits above today, 11 degrees by 1 pm, then dropping to about 4 degrees overnight.

I have the thermostat for the furnace set at 67 and it turns on once in a while. Not as often as I would expect. Next winter should be much better as we are having a lot done to the house. New siding with a tyvek style house wrap, the remaining original windows ( 3 double hung, and 1 big leaky bay widow energy hog) are all being replaced, as well as a new roof with proper venting (ridge, where we have only a couple little vents now) should all help out with keeping this place warmer, and make my stove's wood use a bit less. Or maybe it might get closer to how warm Dennis keeps his house and I use the same amount of wood. LOL

Not sure who that goof ball is. :)

Funny I'm 6'4" but never think of myself as somewhat tall until I see pictures of myself.

Got wood moved up to the house this morning... got all three wood bins filled, plus one additional bin has all hedge in it. Ground was good and solid, but with 2wd and frozen ground.... sometimes it got interesting... that’s when you think how much more would it have cost to get what I really wanted... Diesel and 4wd... but that’s hind sight... so a little additional throttle got me through... now it’s beer time with the Saints vs. Rams... then a little nap time ... then it’ll be the Chefs game tonight...

Had to take a brake to warm up. When I cam back to the shop to refuel the skid steer my beer was starting to freeze. Been pushing snow around for 2 hours. Boy is it cold 8*. Got the snow about half way tamed. At least I can get out now. A little more warming and I will go out and shovel the front side walk.

Made some firewood today. Felt good when the sun was shining and the wind was calm. Then the opposite of that happened and I headed back inside. Wind chill advisory tonight and tomorrow. House is nice and warm though.

Thanks, Chaz, We wound up with four inches of the nasty snow. Mostly water and ice. Had to bring out the snowblower as it was too heavy to shovel. It did a good job. We will see what happens tonight. Hope everyone has a great night.

Ok my wonderful wife needs to learn to take :ithappened: before she complains!! The winds outside are fierce predicting to 35 below tomorrow. The bottom corner of door inside had snow inside size of a nickel.. Now my doors are not perfect but they are definitely above average. Part that scares me is there is a storm door already on outside!!:hair:..
