Warm but windy and wet. Still have the remains of my headache. I hope moving around today will work it off. I hate taking meds for them. Everyone have a great day.

Come on Woodwidow. Get over that stuff, quickly!

Looks like snow is at the end here. Maybe 1 1/2" total with what we had to start with. Might not be able to get out until Monday! However, that is normal around here snow or no snow. lol

Temperature is not going down yet but has been steady in the teens. Now the snow is done I expect it will start going down. That's the part I don't like.

Got some splitting done in the cold temps. Stay out of the wind and it's not too bad.

This picture was taken professionally. It is in the upper half of Maine. Taken last weekend. Frequently seen around here but I've never seen that many clustered before. They hang around any open water, and at the landfills.

I keep seeing this story from Maine about the giant ice chunk swirling in the river current. Apparently someone tried to go out on it. Pretty interesting.

I've seen it on FB and the local news and broadcast news the last couple of days. Last night they had a story about how they were filming and it stopped spinning because it met some ice from the shores. A paddleboarder went out and spent a couple of hours bashing thru the places that had frozen it in place so that it would spin again. Pretty cool to see.

A paddle boarder?? Crazy. A kayaker could at least stay dry.

Ok yeah, I just found the article.

Woodwidow, I wonder since your headache is near the time of that cold your fighting if the head pain could be sinus pain? I do not hesitate to use a sinus rinse when needed. Usually a saline mix, but sometimes I get out some ALKALOL (no! not alcohol!). I get some relief without taking pills.

Had a nice time at our Christmas today. Snapped a picture of my part of the tribe.

Church this AM with wife. We are meeting daughter and her husband there.

Probably putz around the yard, filling feeders, watch the birds, empty the kitchen compost bucket outside the door and layer more leaves on the winter pile, split some more kindling, and then fill the wood bin in the garage.

Will watch at least some of both games in front of the hearth and fire. Speared a 30" pike yesterday am for dinner so no need to go out and get another...until next weekend anyways.

Caffeine in. I measured 12” on the front sidewalk. Wind has been, and is still blowing it around, so it’s hard to tell exactly what we have so far. It’s still coming down.
