Snowpacolypse 2019?

They started naming them a few years ago. Further adds to their hype machine that they run full throttle during storms for ratings.

Looks like we have about 6" so far here. I dont think we got any rain, temps are on their way down. Currently 16F

Well I think they missed it here, we didn't get all the snow they thought, that doesn't break my heart , as I get older I don't mind plowing or moving snow but not my fav. Stove is just coming up to temp life is good!

 

Ours cancelled to, I do set up as we meet at the school. We got about 6" overnight but the drifting is bad. Got a load of red oak catching then I will see about that snowblower, probably hit ours and a few of the neighbors

 

Warm air aloft has rain and drops down to cold causing icing today. Reports said possibility of .25 -.50 of ice accumulation today which will be unreal. The snow has stopped here. They are expecting power outages as the day goes on. Shold be an interesting day.

 

Same here...looks like most of NEO is under level 2 snow emergency, so I doubt much will be open today...saw Lorain county is under level 3.

 

we cooked a ham yesterday, so maybe ham , green beans and potatoes today.

 

Yup. Not touching the snow on the driveway. Rather a thick crust on top of the snow than a half inch of ice on the driveway. Will plan to clear things after all the precip is done.

 

We got around 8" of snow, but its ending as really wet snow and/or rain.
so its packing down.
Gonna drop about 25° in the next 12 hours now. Gotta go get this mess cleared.

Over 4 10ths expected where I’m at.
I see some pockets of half to 3/4 predicted.
Now at a solid 3.
Seems like a mix of rain and sleet right now.

Just switched to sleet here a little while ago. Last night when I checked I was right on the line of all snow/crap show. Hopefully it stays sleet.

Making sure I get the laundry needs done this am just in case

 

Same here. I wont touch anything until it's back to snow. My wife could deplete the giant salt piles when she sees ice on the patio / walkways, and I want one of that

 

Let the dog out at 6:30, blowing here so bad its hard to tell. We are in a pretty open spot 6-8 inches maybe? We are supposed to get snow until tomorrow morning though. Saying some sleet and freezing rain this afternoon.

 

We have the same snow at 1 degree, wind is decent here and supposed to get worse later. Boiler is chewing up some wood.

 

I’ve got to get on a call in a few minutes, but then I’m getting out there.
It’s 20f now and going to get colder. If it’s not a crust on top it’s a block all the way through.
It’s going to be constant maintenance.

 

Good point. I'm going to closely monitor things. Sleet is coming down any a pretty decent clip right now.
