You bastards are making me hungry! Just a coating on the ground here. Wife went to dinner with some friends, so I'm flying solo for dinner. After I put the little one to bed in a few I'm gonna press that bread and milk into service and make raisin bread French toast I think

Got a little bit of work done today before the snow. Started showing around 130ish. Still snowing real fine flakes. We've probably gotten about 2 1/2 inches so far. Sorry no pics of my dinner but I do have some pics of future dinners for the wood stove.

First some elm that I got split and stacked before the snow...

Now some ash.... It started snowing while I was splitting the ash...

Totals were a little under a half cord of elm and about a quarter cord of ash.

Looks like we'll miss the snow completely, absolute northern edge of the storm is about 25 miles south of us and moving north east. Currently -6 F and cloudy.

Wow! Just a fraction of an inch here, but it's starting to come down harder.

    Yup, that's Elm! :hair:
Was just outside, hard to tell what the snow total is as its blowing around already, I'd guess 4"...ranges from 2-3" up to maybe 8"...had a little freezing rain snow mix going on there for a bit again...back to snow again now looks like. Local news is still saying another 8" overnight...we shall see...sounds like the cold front and its wind is gonna get here overnight too. If we do get another 8" its gonna be a blizzard out there with the 40 MPH gusts they are talking about! :startled:

Cant like that one bear 1998 :picard:the only good thing about ice is that it will be on top and should be easy to scrape off. I cant imagine the roads are gonna be pretty though.

Our church cancelled today's services. I'm kind of offended since I keep the lot clean. Guess I can go back to bed.
