OMG, I stopped at Shaw's to do my normal shopping (which I usually do on Sunday) and they were so busy that I had to park out further than I normally do (which is quite a ways to force myself to get some exercise). I didn't get anything out of the ordinary, for me - no bread but did get light cream, frozen veggies, fresh fruit and some chicken. By the time I was ready to check out the lines to all the cashiered registers (8-10) were 6 deep or more. I figured I would get in the "short" line of 6 people for the two open self-check out registers. Well, as my luck runs, it isn't surprising that immediately one of the computers went on the blitz so the manager pulled it off-line and everyone had to go thru one self-checkout. And of course those are slower because people don't know how to scan, don't know how to punch in weights to their fresh produce, and you can't scan another item until you have "bagged" the previous item (a function of the computers - not the people).

Amazingly everyone in the whole store was polite except apparently I missed the hissy fit that one person put on because they were shorted a penny, or were charged an extra penny, or something like that (the reason the computer was pulled off-line in the self-checkout). I would have given that person a $1 to shut up and let us move forward more quickly ;).

Lots of people on the roads in my small town too. But nobody being crazy. Weird, it's almost as if they have been thru this before and take it in stride ;)

This morning, after perusing this site and FB for a while, I decided it was time to vacuum the main floor. It takes a while getting all the cat hair and dust out of cracks, crevices and under furniture. Then decided it would be good to mop the floors. All floors are tile, linoleum or hard wood - except the 2 area rugs beside the bed and a couple more rugs in the craft room. Looking at the HW floors, I decided they really needed oiled as they are really dried out. So pulled out the grapeseed oil, added some orange essential oil, and got down on my hands and knees to do just the main parts. Ended up moving all the furniture except bed, dresser (I could get under one dresser), entertainment center and futon (could get under that without moving). So, several hours later I was done with the floors.

Cleaned the bathroom, took coffee grounds and other natural food leavings to the compost pile, and gathered up all the trash. Once I was done with all the grimy work, I took a shower and headed for the dump. I offloaded my leavings to the transfer station gods and then loaded up 3 kitty litter buckets full of sand. Then stopped at the grocery store (see previous tale) and headed home to offload my treasures.

Went to TSC to use up my 10% off coupon, but didn't see anything that I can't live without. The coupon is good until 1/27, so next weekend, if nothing else, I'll get a few more bags of pellets (btw - pellets are at $5.19/bag, so 10% off will put thim in the $4.70 range - better than earlier in the fall). Stopped at Aubuchon's and used a $5 off $25 coupon buying a new sn*w shovel. Do I NEED one? No, I have three. But one has lost its metal edging, one has a really beat edging. The 3rd is in good shape since I've only had it a year, but hey, having an extra shovel is never a bad idea.

By that time, my banana oatmeal "muffin" scrambled eggs had worn off and I was starving. So I stopped at the local taco place. The daily special was steak bomb tacos; $4 each or 3 for $10. I opted for 3 tacos and ordered a margarita to drink while waiting; everything is made to order and they are always busy, so at times it can take 20-30 minutes. Usually when I go there I get a small drink but this time I got a large drink. Dang, a small drink is $2 and is a small cup filled to the brim with ice with a bit of margarita in it - no problem finishing it. The "double" is $3 contained in a large solo cup with about the amount of ice in the small drink (doesn't take up much room in the solo), then the cup is filled to the very tippy top with liquid elixir. I sat there a good 10-15 minutes after my food was brought out to finish the drink. Good thing that place is less than 1/2 mile from home because I'm still feeling the effects - although it is getting milder so I may have to break out some vodka or Dr Mcgillicuddy to keep my mind properly fuddly :coldone:

Took a trip this morning down to Uxbridge and grabbed some new to me pellets. Logik-e softies. Put some LED's in the Fog lights as I could not get the fender well back without pulling the wheel and my hands were freeezing as is. Did some other things around the house and now getting ready to have an awesome dinner
