Yep... we're right in the middle of the 24"-36" zone... I'll believe it come Monday. We don't have to get out anywhere, so just going to sit back and enjoy the show.

Dear sir, I will have you know that the ramen does indeed exist in my pantry.

She might not be interested in it, but I will not be deprived.

On my list for today’s prep is to pop the 20A 2pole into the garage panel, run the generator around back and snake the cord through the hole I drilled in the garage wall for that purpose. PITA.

The ice is what creeps me out. We’re sitting at a solid 1.5 on the scale when you account for wind or wind gusts.
The last big one we had was 2008. On day 3 without power I traveled to a Home Depot with power and was able to get a generator. Got it home, did the little bit of assembly and had some power in the house by 10a.m.
Power on the street was restored by 1 pm. That was fine with me.
A vivid memory of that storm was waking up in the middle of the night thinking someone was coyote hunting in the back because we were hearing gun shots. It didn’t take long to realize the power was out and the gun shots were big limbs snapping.

Time to put more locust and oak in the house before it gets buried.

Need to finish working up the backup lights on the plow truck too if I have time.

Fill the fuel cans for the generator and I'll be ready to go.
