It seems to happen most years Tom when you turn warm (relatively), we turn cold.

Was cutting and moving logs this afternoon. Temperature said it wasn't bad but for some reason I got cold. Wife did too. I called her on the 2-way and asked that she bring the atv back to help skid some logs on the dray. She got cold too but that was expected. Still, it really seemed nice to have her helping as she used to help all the time. But, at our age, things do tend to change somewhat.

We are at 8f now. Heading for -3f. We set a record for latest winter date for a below zero temp in the Mpls area. Got a load of 3 year seasoned poplar, black ash, alder, spruce in the hearth now. Snow in south metro and a foot so far in far SW MN.

30 here, warm and cloudy before the snow. Pine burning coals down now, with extra on deck for the cool down Sunday and Monday. Started bringing some wood in, and have plenty four steps away from the side door to refresh the supply once the snow gets deep. Of course, I mounted the plow last night and it worked fine all day.. so I suspect we'll only get a dusting here.

    Same 4 year red oak.
Moved the last cord of it into a shelter this afternoon.

Still forecasting rain for Sunday's weather.

Looks like quite a temperature drop Sunday night. They appear to be forecasting 6ºF low for the day but I doubt it.

Thats chilly! We were a pleasant -11c this morning and now we are -1c with weather out of the south west so it makes sense we are mild. Its easy keeping my 2600 sq ft warm at those temps. Lodgepole pine doing its thing.

I stopped at the store tonight for some tarter sauce. 18 inches of snow forcasted for saturday night and you would have thought the russians were in chelsea. What a zoo. Even the 5 dollar bundles of wood where gone.

25F here with a windchill of 18. Boiler loaded with Oak & Cherry. I've got about 5 cord of Oak within a few feet of the boiler, so I won't run out in he next few days. Supposed to get 2-4" overnight & windy. High of 20 tomorrow, gonna cut fence rows unless the forecast really changes. Sunday/Monday cold but not super serious. Single digits & teens. Winter's finally coming I think.

Side note any body know why I can't see any pictures here ever since the switch to tapatalk no pictures on my S8.

-6.3f oak slabs are burning . Did some Amazon shopping got myself a weather station . Now you got details . You know 5 mph 61% humidity at -6.3f it's got a good bit out there. I felt -18f days did not feel that cold. But we got a consistent 5 mile an hour wind plus. [IMG]
