Hired a Survey done on our new ten acre property in Oct. Was told at that time it was 4 to 6 week wait, they would do our place around Thanksgiving time. First week of December when they had not showen up Kare called and was told Next week. Next week came and went with no survey having been done. I decided after the first of the year I was going to go into the office and see when they were going to come and do it or would they refund the money and we go else where. I do belive I could take a college course and be ready to do my own survey come spring.

I came down with a bad cold so didn't want to leave my nice warm wood heated house to go and see what was up. I thought I saw a truck the survey crew uses the morning of the 9th. Kare went out to do some shopping and when she got back comfirmed the survey crew was at the road working as there were stakes.

I dressed warmer as I was starting to feel better and walked the dogs. they had put the survey property lines stakes on the wrong south property border. A wasted day on their part and isn't what we had given the property discription for either.

9:00 AM the 10th I call the comapny and explained they had did the wrong south property line. The old gent that owns the comapny said it would be done right by the end of the week. I tell this to Kare and say I am not going to hold my breath today is Thursday.
I remained holed up in the wood heated warm house till evening when I took the dogs for a walk. I returned and told Kare they came and pulled all those property line markers and surveyed the correct south line.

Friday we go out and drive steel stakes at all the corners of our property then along thr property line we drove T fence post 6 inches inside at every stake the crew had put in On sunday we strung our line and started Driving the steel T fence post I had bought and stocked up on waiting for the survey to be done.

The neghbors horse fence in the nroth east corner is about 8 inches inside the line.
Makeing a note of it on the new property discrotion that is going to be turned into the township.
    Also have pictures.

this clearing I did last fall was off in most places by 10 feet at the worst part.

Al is the horse property fence a big issue with Road Frontage? I was just thinking I'd be easier to do a swap with the neighbor that make you move the fence. He might like that

The horse people are two crazy women. When I was trying to clear what I thought might be the property line (she the older one) told me to push all of them down they stink awful in the spring.
A week I got a visit from a county sheriff officer. He said she complained I was to far south. All I had pushed out in that to far south path (yes she was right I was to far south .) was the bushes she told me to take all of them out because they stink.

I was to far south there by 5 feet and to far north back a bit bt nearly 10 feet.

In that case I would definitely be sure to point point out her fence encroachment and make sure she corrects it.

Good fences make good neighbors....bad neighbors make good fertilizer.
