OK,just relooked at the stove 3 hours from me(accentra),it is an 4 digit serial number,so it needs the air bypass tube update, and the chain drive auger update.Gonna make an offer,as it has been on CL for 2 weeks.I would buy it for 900-1k

Well, what do you know. The guy with the '07 texted me and said that the stove was still available. The two people who saw it after me wanted to see it run and because it was in a building he could demonstrate it. So....I offered him $1500 and he accepted. I will pick it up this morning. It will go in my shop and be torn down and serviced. I'll replace the ignitor and run it and see how it goes then I'll have to scratch my head for a bit and figure out how I am going to hook up the exhaust venting. My wife agreed to a crooked pipe so that's good, but I think I will have to add a couple of inches in length. Hopefully, in a couple of weeks, I'll have this little guy burning away in my living room.

Congrats on the new stove. As LW stated earlier in this thread, might want to double check the ignitor.....might just need to be cleaned.

I had to take the dogs (and me) out for our daily hike in the woods. Now that I'm back, I will take the ash vac out to the shop and start vacuuming. Holy crap is this thing dirty! I'll start taking pictures as I go along. When I picked it up, the guy told me he thought it had a new exhaust blower because his last clean and prep for the season was $700. Wouldn't that be nice. The first thing I am going to do is check that ignitor!

How is the Duravent adjustable pipe? Looks like I will need about 5 or 6 inches added on. I'm also wondering if the T will fit on the discharge of the stove.

Thanks for that Rich. I will order that this weekend. I started cleaning. Man was it DIRTY! After pulling the heat exchanger baffles, I scraped and cleaned and vacuumed, followed by some compressed air. I pulled the cover off the ignitor and it was reasonably clean. I plugged it in with the controls set to OFF and the blower came on. After 5 minutes, it shut off. Ok, not sure if that was normal. I turned it on with it set on stove temp and the feed on 4. The combustion blower came on. No ignitor and no movement with the auger. It may be frozen so I will pull the chain and make sure it spins freely. I'll pull the ignitor and ohm it out. Maybe I will run a patch cord to it to see what, if anything, it does.

Quick update. Before I started getting deeper into the stove, I took a look around in the back. Sitting there as innocent as you can get was the hose to the vacuum switch. Plugged it in and everything came to life including the ignitor! Within 2 minutes it was smoking pretty hard. No flame so I checked the pellets and they are one step away from mush. I vacuumed out the hopper and tomorrow I will run them out of the auger but my feeling is that this thing is a runner. Feeling pretty happy right about now.

Go ahead and offer him something like $1,000 or $1,300. Worst he can do is say no. But at the same time he might say yes. Also, will keep him from taking a really low offer because he has no other bites.
