First and third pics look like sugar maple. The second one looks more like ash. Are you sure they are all from the same tree?

Sure looks like Norway maple to me. And Norway ain't bad, it's better than red maple, but not quite as good as sugar maple. It's in between those two woods in regards to BTU's. Either way, well-worth putting in the stacks.
Second on the Norway. Not too shabby, had a big one cut down on the power company’s right of way in front of my parents a few years back. It burned nicely. This is sugar maple bark on a mature tree as I’m accustomed to seeing it.
You probably won't find it, but just by trial and error from using it many years, I've found it to be about right between red maple and sugar maple. Non-scientific, I know, but take the numbers for those two woods and find the average.....that's about where Norway falls.
I too agree on Norway. I think probably about right on with the Ash comparison. Very decent firewood, I won't pass it up.
Yeah, that sure looks like Norway to me as well. I'd say it's better firewood, btu wise than ash. I've been burning a bit of both this year, and yardbird Norway maple to yardbird ash, I'll take the maple any day. The maple splits better too.
I got it from neighbour last March when they took down the tree from their backyard. I have been burning it since last 2-3 days and I like it so far. I remember tree service guy said some maple and I was thinking it was sugar maple.
