Not gonna get into the wood pellet quality/heat thing,as I tend to get quality ones in early, enough for winter, but I can remark on dirty pellets!. Anyway, our local small Tru Value store had a open pallet of "rocky Mountain Wood Pellets". Never heard of them.Called them,he said he thought they were the same as "Uncle Ethans" wood pellets, just a name change.Never heard of them either. But,they can get me as much as I want, every Wednesday on the truck,so must be within 600 miles. At 6.49 a bag,not even gonna buy 3 for testing, unless a local member wants me to.

Had to go to town, renew drivers license, drop off paperwork to renew CWP,drove north to drop off an electric motor part at a friends shop.Got back home, after 3 days, the used fuel tank I put in the bed of the plow truck was leaking.Rushed to siphon out the fuel, glad I had enough empty cans.It weighs 150 lbs,so will leave in for the weight, for rest of winter.Replaced leaking plow swing cylinder and hose, adjusted things, there is a chance of a storm thursday, but we have been having quite a warm spell, cat loves it!

Thanks for the reminder. Don't need pellets (I know it isn't all about NEED - LOL), but I'm sure there is something else I want/need that I can use that on.

Uncle ethans used to produce pellets and fireplace logs, apparently they no longer exist.Rocky mountain wood pellets is "up and rising"using beetle kill wood for pellet fuel, mostly pine. They are from Colorado,so I would not believe anything they say. But,as their price is so much higher, not gonna try them.

We had those Lodgepole Rocky Mountains run through the local Home Depot about 8-9 years ago or so...it's been a long time. That may have been my first experience with a softie pellet. I remember they smelled good but didn't burn the greatest in my old Englander....haven't seen those pellets since.

Ya I remember those Rocky Mountain from HD. Too far to haul these days. Used to get the Lignetics from Idaho back then too. Loved those, they burned hot in my old US stove.

They are proud of them suckers at $6.49 a bag

We went into town yesterday to fill the old Burb with fuel and decided to get a couple bags of Bear Mt pellets to stick in the corner (Mostly use to lite the stoves)

These were $5.79 a bag and I was not amused... but we do on occasion run the Quad 1000 and it will not do shells.
