Thoughts? Thinking about sprinkling antibiotics on food for a wild cat. A somewhat frequent flier wildcat here (for those that recognize the name momma cat, it appears to be her brother , same size, same vocalizations and they walk/trip me in synchonictie when I bring food out, etc. ) . I wanted to trap him that first night I saw the claw marks on his arm but long story short it did not happen, has not happened and will not happen for a few months... Today he showed up and his little front arm bloody, hair missing, swollen, I cannot tell for sure but I think it might be abcessesses oozing along with him scratching it.

I put out a chunk of chicken breast WWW cooked the other night that was getting old tonight for the cats, first time I've ever offered him human food, and he devoured it. I could do similar again tomorrow with clindamycin left over from Blondie botched diagnosis on there. The again I recall assisting in many abcess drains back in the day in the vet clinic at the humane society. savemoney mike bayerl and all others, I doubt I can get him trapped and to the vet, would this do him any good?

I think it could work. Maybe even tuck the pills into chunks of food/meat in case the powdered abx has a bad taste. FWIW, now there is a single-shot long acting antibiotic exactly for this scenario ("Covenia"). Too bad you can't trap it. It would help to shave the area and clean it out, too.
