hey guys I just stopped at my local Home Depot and went and looked at their pellets and the wrapping was green but it had a lignetics sticker on it. Are they worth buying? Anyone use them yet this year? It’s hard to find good pellets around me. Another local place has dry creek but their $284 a ton.
I bought and tried the GS "Blue Ridge Blend" I liked them and went and bought more even though I don't "need" more pellets.
Around me in upstate ny I seem to only get green supremes who are either Curran or mwp. I know Curran are junk. Had anyone burned lignetics this year? If so how are they?
I've never known GS to be Curran or MWP but I could be wrong. Now, you could be getting GS out of the Geneva mill that Lig now owns.
These are other choices I have but are more expensive: all 3 curran, New England, allegheny, dry creek premium(super low out), lacrete, American wood fiber hard and ultra white pine, easy blaze super soft(out of blends), elites, northern Warmth Doug fir and supreme Doug Fir I don’t really have the dough to put out over $300 a ton
Holy cow...those prices are crazy. Best bet looks like the Allegheny pellets lol $260 for Easy Heats? They are probably making AT LEAST $100+ a ton on those.
I just checked the Schenectady store...are pellets $219 where you are? I'd be pulling the trigger in a second on them.
What did you check the Schenectady store for? Greene supremes? I looked at hd in East Greenbush. I didn’t go inside and ask.
