Did a 90 mile ride last Saturday night. No moose or coyote sightings

I'm thinking your 90 miles was no more than 3 hours which is great. 90 miles on the Laurel Mountain ridge near 7 Springs is an all day ride with 2 days of aches.

Very close, there were some spots that were fun and needed attention and waiting behind the groomer for a bit.

I have hiked in the area you speak of. Beautiful country

I live 28 air miles from Boston, and I can pick up a groomed trail literally right out my back door.

The weather dudes here aren't saying any snow totals for this weekend yet...just that it will probably be significant...at least enough to shovel they said...I'm not sure which is worse...vague, or blown out of proportion! :hair:
I really need to dig the ole sled out too...but it has been buried in the garage so long now that it would be a real project to get it out let alone get it running...the carbs were drained IIRC, so in theory it should be ok with new fuel put in it...but I wouldn't count on it!
Would be nice to get some braaap! time though!

Raising the totals here to 20"+ for the weekend. Looks as though most of us will be be busy with this storm!

I'm sorry but no credible meteorologist would put out a detailed map of who's getting how much 6 days before a storm.

That's because there are no credible meteorologist's. It is a "non-exacting" science the same as psychiatry and politics...............................

Our local channels aren't calling for much accumulation and they are usually spot on . I gotta believe them if their predicted highs are correct. We don't get much snow under 10 degrees here.

Yea, supposed to be really cold (10°F) DURING the storm, which is kinda strange

Agreed 100%, they are either so far off and get way more than expected or they blow it way out of proportion and we get a dusting......either way the stove will be cranking!!!

Low temps makes for nice fine powder. As long as there is a base riding on that stuff is like being on a cloud! No base and you kinda find the not so fun stuff underneath.
