    Slept in a little this morning. 10 oz Pepsi in. It’s a little cold out for going out to work on the trails. -8 right now. I think I’ll wait a couple hours before I go out. I need to bring some firewood in. Then it will be time for breakfast.

    I found out yesterday I got lucky and had my name drawn for a prize in the fundraiser for Shemane over on O.P.E. :thumbs: I was able to pick a used chainsaw that has been ported. Nice! I chose an Echo that was put up with a bar. I decided since I already have two Echos, and have had good reliability with them, I might as well add another of the same make. :saw:

    It will be a few weeks before I get her but it should make for a good saw. CS5000 D0207B87-300F-444B-8EB3-184EDC85D8AB.jpeg B574AF60-C46C-4324-9964-C2C005F4D84A.jpeg

    OOPS!

    I have the computer set up in the basement workshop (Dave Cave, if you will). I also have a "four square" outlet/switch combo on the side of the furnace. The outlet is for convenience, the switch controls power to the furnace.

    upload_2019-1-14_8-28-0.jpeg In one of the outlets, I'll put in a night light and turn it on so I don't have to leave the overhead lights turned on for 2-3 hours at a time with no one in that portion of the basement. Last night, at bedtime, I shut everything down and as I walked past the furnace, reached over to shut off the night light. Only thing is, I also shut off the power to the furnace. :picard: The temp in the house dropped down to 57! 99 gets out of bed at 5 and starts wondering why the house is cold? :zip: "OOPS!"

    Looking back on last night, I had a decent 5 hours sleep! :thumbs: Probably due to the comfortable temps and the two hour snowshoe walk we were on yesterday.

    :doh::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol:

    Well, I am not coughing as much and I was able to sleep through the night without a coughing spasm so I guess I don't have any excuse not to go to work. I still have the snuffles though. Walk this morning got my sinuses cleaned out but now I feel like going back to bed.

    Gorgeous morning. Clear skies, lots of stars and above freezing temps. Dogs even came with us.

    Doesn't sound like you are ready for prime time yet, don't hesitate to bail out halfway through the day. Good luck!

    So I was really annoyed when my main computer updated Windows 10 and I lost the homegroup feature that I use to connect all my computers. It is really handy to look at the pictures on the one computer from the other. I have a third older computer that I have hooked up to the TV so I can watch YouTube on it or show someone the pictures we have. I had to do some work on it and sure enough, Windows 10 wanted to do an update and I couldn't stop it. I really don't want to use the "cloud" for storage and using Dropbox all the time is a pain. Well the update didn't go that well and I had to reboot the computer a few times. The last message was update failed, Windows re-installing previous version. Whoo Hoo! I have my network back on at least two computers.

    How hard is it to have a server network system for home use? I wouldn't mind putting in the time and effort to create one.

    Was going to head to the woods this morning but got stuck in the house. Seems some deer decided it was the warmest close to the house. I watched them browse for a while then they (3) laid down. They are welcome and I don't mind waiting. It's cold out there. Was sunny but clouds are moving in.

    I was in the hot tub yesterday morning and could hear some movement in the woods. A heard of deer came into view, so I sat and watched them for a while.
