    Most likely a scam. I have gotten so many emails and phone calls and texts I just ignore them. I figure I'll find out the hard way if it is shut down - but I got other methods of payment if needed.

    NEVER call back to the number they give in a message. Always use the number on your card or statement.

    We had a wet heavy snow... quite a few limbs broke under the weight with power lines too. Power was out in a lot of areas. We maintain power here... did flicker a couple of times.

    Interesting that before putting fish in the oil, they fried bacon in the oil first. Bacon was good too. I ate more than my share of everything except the french fries.

    I was curious if there was enough ice at Houghton Lake, MI for the Tip-up town festival that starts next weekend. Reports I'm getting say from 12" to 14" so they should be okay. That is a huge festival in MI

    Cool picture.

    Went to the Legions monthly pancake breakfast for a late breakfast. Stained a shelf for a cabinet I'm building. Need to mock up the door but have too much else to do, once I get motivated that is. :)

    This weekend is our family Christmas with mom, so I made double dipped Oreos and some candy last night and early this morning.

    I think the YTD (from a radio station) is right around 80". We did go for that snowshoe.....2hours worth and yes, we definitely needed to wear snowshoes. Broke trail the entire time. I did the same route 40 years ago, and again 20 years ago. I assure you, I will not do this route 20 years from now! Nope!

    Actually, I did remember to bring the camera along! Walked trough a smaller bedding area for deer and ended up walking right across three beds. Passed a tree that had a little knot hole in it and as I looked at it, I could see 1/2 of a squirrel head looking back! Thats when I pulled the camera out for pics and ...........dead batteries! They were OK when we left the house. I was carrying it in an outside pocket of my new wool jacket (Christmas gift from me) and I guess the cold was just a little too much for the batteries.

    Sad part of the "two hour cruise" was that I never did find those dang waterfalls! I went in from a different direction this time, is why.

    I will find them though....just at a later date. I'm thinking the falls were shut down due to the government shutdown, too. Yeah. That's it!
